Sky Cinema new releases: What’s on in June
Dead Man’s Wire - 5th June
Thriller based on real-life events, in which a disgruntled real estate developer takes a mortgage broker hostage.
This one sort of flew under the radar on release, but it’s something of an underseen gem, balancing some offbeat sensibilities with hyper-accurate period styling - plus a standout performance from Bill Skarsgård (IT).
Sisu: Road to Revenge - 6th June

Action revenge sequel to the 2022 cult classic. This time, having already murdered his way through a platoon of Nazi soldiers in ‘40s Lapland, one man army Aatami Korpi (Jorma Tommila) is facing off against the Red Army. You could almost feel sorry for them.
Also stars Richard Brake (Barbarian) and Stephen Lang (Avatar).
The Internship (2026) - 7th June
Espionage action thriller, not to be confused with the 2013 Owen Wilson/Vince Vaughn buddy comedy. In this version, a deadly assassin leads her a rebellion against the top secret CIA program that trained her.
The Choral - 12th June
Historical drama starring Ralph Fiennes as the bold new leader of a village choral society, who leads a recruitment drive to raise morale during World War I. With typically witty, heartfelt writing from playwright Alan Bennett (The History Boys), and a typically excellent central performance from Fiennes, this is the epitome of a cozy Sunday afternoon movie.
No Ordinary Heist - 14th June
Irish crime thriller, loosely based on the real life 2004 Northern Bank robbery in Belfast. As you might expect, this is all about a heist - but with a bit of a twist. This time the thieves are bank employees, who are forced to steal £26.5 million to save their families.
Stars Eddie Marsan (The World’s End) and Éanna Hardwicke (Normal People).
The Black Phone 2 - 19th June

Carolina Caroline - 20th June
Offbeat crime caper starring cult movie darlings Samara Weaving (Ready Or Not) and Kyle Gallner (Strange Darling). A small town girl teams up with a charismatic con man on a romantic, Bonnie and Clyde-style crime spree.
